Benjamin's Infant Preschool Center History

Benjamin’s Infant/Preschool Center is a premiere childcare center located in Westlake, LA that has been serving the community for many years and Benjamin’s Infant/Preschool Center is an offspring of Benjamin’s Corporation, Benjamin’s Children Academy which first opened its doors in 1981 at 1124 Garfield Street under the directorship of Mrs. Theresa Benjamin and co-owner Mr. Isabel Roy Benjamin for many loving years.

Continuing the dream of giving all children the opportunity for quality childcare, I, Marian Benjamin, incorporated the Benjamin’s Afterschool Center in 2007. In December 2016, Benjamin’s Infant/Preschool Center relocated back home to 1124 Garfield Street (family center) with a license capacity of 86 students.

Mission Statement

To enable parents the flexibility to create their childcare early morning schedules while providing families with the highest quality of safety, childcare and parenting information. We build long term relationships within the community by helping families balance their needs: children, family lifestyle, work schedules and adult free time while fostering all aspects of children’s development and education in a “home away from home “environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. To assist each child in developing physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially to their fullest potential.

My 1 year old has a milk allergy & they do everything to make sure she eats & drinks the right things. The director is great! They always have the best activities for the kids as well . When my child started going the first few days she stopped being on pacifiers and she learned how to drink out of a cup. Now if u want your baby to coddled and spoiled all day then this is not the place. They are trying to teach your children to be independent and to be prepared for when they actually go to school.
